ANTONOV Vladimir Oleksandrovych — leading researcher of the Department Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law, Associate Professor (1995), Candidate of Philosophical Sciences (1988), Doctor of Law (2018).

In 1973 he graduated from the Novosibirsk Higher Military-Political School (specialty: military-political, combined arms); in 1982 — the Moscow Military-Political Academy (specialty: military-pedagogical, social sciences); in 1988 — the Kyiv Institute of Internal Affairs at the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (specialty: law).

From 1982 to 1989, he worked as a teacher at the Kyiv Higher Military Engineering School of Communications; from 1989 to 1992 — at the Kyiv Military Academy of Air Defense of the Ground Forces; from 1992 to 1999 — at the Kyiv Institute of Internal Affairs at the National Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Since 2001, senior researcher at the Department of Constitutional Law and Local Self-Government; since 2019 — leading researcher at the same department (now the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law).

In 1988, he defended his PhD thesis in the specialty «Dialectical and Historical Materialism» on the topic: "Methodological Problems of Military-Political Forecasting».

In 2018 he defended adoctoral dissertation in specialty 12.00.02 «Constitutional law; municipal law» on the topic: «Constitutional and legal foundations of national security of Ukraine».

Main areas of scientific activity: research into problems of national security and defense of the Ukrainian state; forecasting of military-political conflicts and threats to the national security of Ukraine.

Author of over 150 scientific works.
