Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is a leading legal research institution in Ukraine.

According to its Charter, the Institute carries out fundamental theoretical-methodological and applied research on current problems of state-legal construction in Ukraine; coordinates fundamental scientific developments of relevant problems; prepares highly qualified personnel — doctors and candidates of legal sciences; conducts scientific and scientific-practical conferences; publishes legal literature; provides expert and scientific advisory assistance to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. bodies, judicial bodies, the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, other state authorities and local self-government bodies, citizens of Ukraine and foreign countries.

A new edition will be published soon — collective monograph "The principle of equality in law: theory and practice", responsible editor N.M. Onishchenko.

The monograph is devoted to the principle of equality in law, namely — the study of equality of rights and freedoms as one of the main principles of the constitutional status of a person and a citizen, as an indicator of universal human culture.

The principle of equality in this monographic study is primarily focused on legal issues, the legal sphere of development and implementation. Realizing that "all human beings are born free and equal in their dignity and rights", the authors of the publication, in accordance with the logic of the stated monograph, try to consider the principle of equality in many aspects and dimensions, in particular, it is the principle of economic and legal equality, gender equality, etc.</ p>

Special attention is paid to the moral aspects of the principle of equality and legal culture, the principle of sovereign equality of states, equality as a means of ensuring justice in law, the reflection of this principle in European law, etc.
