The head of the Center for Banking Law at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine is the Deputy Director of the Institute, Volodymyr Petrovych Nagrebelny.

Nagrebelny V. P. — Candidate of Law, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Senior Researcher, awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In 1983, he defended his candidate's thesis on the topic «Organizational and legal problems of managing material and technical support of agriculture», and prepared for defense a doctoral dissertation devoted to organizational and legal problems of investment activity in Ukraine.

Over the years of his scientific activity, V. P. Nagrebelny has published about 150 scientific works (excluding reference and information materials), including in foreign publications. Among the publications are 1 individual monograph, 1 brochure, co-authorship in 8 popular science publications, independent chapters in 11 collective monographs, over 70 scientific articles, reviews, etc.

The scientific works of V. P. Nagrebelny explore the organizational and legal problems of state regulation and management in the field of investment activity, and the legal support for the formation of market relations. Considerable attention is also paid to the study of organizational and legal forms of entrepreneurial activity, the analysis of legal regulation of economic relations in modern conditions, the study of legal aspects of the stock market, banking activities, foreign economic relations, etc. In recent years, publications have focused on the problems of legal regulation of relations in the economic sphere, state support for entrepreneurship, and issues of legislative support for the activities of executive authorities.

V. P. Nagrebelny implements his theoretical conclusions and practical proposals in the law-making process; participates in the work of the Commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, working groups on the preparation of relevant draft laws, in particular, in the development of laws on enterprises, on entrepreneurship, on civil service, on the arbitration court, a package of laws on taxation, the Arbitration and Procedural Code of Ukraine, on the foundations of state scientific and technical policy, antimonopoly and competition legislation, on the Antimonopoly Committee, on energy conservation, on transport, on pipeline transport, on intellectual property, etc., as well as the draft Law on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

V. P. Nagrebelny actively combines his research work with scientific and organizational, pedagogical and scientific and public activities, is a member of the Scientific Advisory Council under the Supreme Arbitration Court of Ukraine, a member of the Committee on Legislative Initiatives under the President of Ukraine, Member of the Coordination Council for the priority direction of development of science and technology «Scientific problems of building the statehood of Ukraine», Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the collection of scientific works «The Rule of Law». Carries out training of highly qualified personnel through the Institute's postgraduate studies.
