FALALIEIEVA Lyudmila Hryhorivna —  leading researcher at the Department of International Law and European Union Law of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,  Doctor of Law, Professor.

The dissertation research on the topic: «Legal aspects of the organization and activities of the executive bodies of the European Union»  was defended at the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, receiving the degree of Candidate of Law in the specialty 12.00.11 - international law. Scientific supervisor — Professor V. N. Denisov. She defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: «Protection of Fundamental Rights in the Integration Legal Order of the European Union» at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, receiving the degree of Doctor of Law in the specialty 12.00.11 — international law. Scientific consultant — Professor V. N. Denisov. Holds the academic title of professor.

He has been engaged in scientific, pedagogical, and research activities in positions in higher education institutions, as well as in postgraduate education institutions, and scientific institutions for over thirty years. She headed the Faculty of International Law and Jurisprudence, the Department of European Law and International Economic Integration of the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade, worked as a leading researcher in the sector of legal problems of European integration of the Department of European Law and International Integration of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (since 2022 — Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine).

Currently, he holds the position of leading researcher in the Department of International Law and Law of the European Union (by competition), and is a member of the Academic Council of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine.

During her scientific and scientific-pedagogical activities, she participated in the work of one-time specialized academic councils of the Institute as a reviewer, and also acted as an opponent at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, at the Yaroslav the Wise Kharkiv National University, at the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, at the National University «Odesa Law Academy».

The professor's work includes over 190 publications on topical issues of European Union law and international law, which are insufficiently researched in domestic legal science, in particular the science of international law. Of these, 160 are scientific and over 30 are educational and methodological works, in particular: 1 individual monograph; 6 chapters in foreign collective monographs (1 of which, published in 2014, is registered in the international scientometric database Web of Science), published in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Latvia; 2 chapters in domestic collective monographs; 9 articles in foreign scientific publications (specializing in European Union law and international law), of which 5 articles in publications registered in the international scientometric database Scopus; 31 scientific articles published in domestic professional publications in legal sciences, 50 articles in the Academic Dictionary of Legal Terms (2007, recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as a textbook (letter No. 1.4/18-G-476 dated 07/13/2006)), 30 articles in the Dictionary of Legal Terms and Concepts (2013), 22 articles in the Encyclopedia of International Law in three volumes (2014-2019), 28 abstracts of reports, etc.

Participant in numerous international scientific and practical conferences, in particular in Romania (Arad), Czech Republic (Prague, Olomouc). Co-author of the publication «Parliamentarism and Lawmaking: Selected Lectures» (2017), which contains selected topics of the curricula of the Ukrainian School of Lawmaking of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (since 2022 — Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine).

He is a member of the NGO "Ukrainian Association of International Law", is a member of the editorial boards of the Ukrainian Yearbook of International Law (Ukrainian Association of International Law), the Encyclopedia of International Law (vol. 3), the Yearbook of Scientific Papers of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine - "Rule of Law", as well as the foreign scientific publication "European Studies — The Review of European Law, Economics and Politics (Wolters Kluwer), indexed by the international scientometric database Scopus.

Prepared 3 Doctors of Philosophy (Candidates of Science), manages the preparation of candidates for the degree of Doctor of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 293 - International Law at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, providing scientific consulting / guidance in the process of preparing doctoral / postgraduate dissertations on topical issues of European Union law and international law. He is the author of the course «European Union Law: Modern Problems of Theory and Practice» and an executor within the framework of the implementation of the project EU Law Postgraduate Studies (EULPS) under grant agreement 101126964–EULPS–ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, with a volume of 54 hours (1.8 ECTS credits). The total volume of the specified academic discipline, as well as another one - «Problems of the Theory and Practice of International Law», which is also taught by the professor, is 60 hours (2 ECTS credits), allocated to each of them.

The sphere of scientific interests consists of: the current state and trends in the development of European Union law, problems of the theory and practice of international law, in particular international treaty law, international human rights law, the law of foreign relations, the law of international organizations, the law of international responsibility, and international criminal law.
