STOYKO Olena Mykhailivna — leading researcher of the Sector of Legal Problems of Political Science, Doctor of Political Sciences.

She graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with a degree in political science (2002) and completed postgraduate studies at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2005).

In 2005, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Political Sciences on the topic: «Features of the Transformation of Political and Power Relations (using the Example of the Visegrad Group Countries)» (specialty 23.00.02 — political institutions and processes). In 2017, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Political Science on the topic: «Transformation of Political Institutions in Modern Transitional Societies» (specialty 23.00.02 — political institutions and processes). Main areas of scientific research — democratization, political system, public administration, party system, local self-government, constitutional process, territorial organization of society.

Published over 100 scientific works, including: individual monograph «Transformation of political institutions in modern transitional societies» (2016); textbook, monographs, scientific notes and analytical reports co-authored by:
