"Sources of judicial law in Ukraine": presentation of the monograph
May 30, 2024 at the Institute of State and Law of Ukraine named after V.M. Koretsky, the presentation of the collective monograph "Sources of judicial law in Ukraine" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Institute took place.
Opening the event, the director of the State and Law Institute named after V.M. Oleksandr Skrypniuk of Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of legal sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine noted the importance of publishing a collective monograph. According to Oleksandr Skrypnyuk, the publication has already received favorable reviews. "A similar monograph has not yet been published in Ukraine, and this is its scientific novelty", — Oleksandr Vasyliovych summarized.

Welcoming those present, Oleksandr Skrypnyuk emphasized that the leading role in the preparation of the monograph belongs to the head of the author's team, doctor of legal sciences, professor, full member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, honored lawyer of Ukraine Anatoly Selivanov. In his welcoming speech, Oleksandr Skrypniuk thanked the authors who contributed to the publication. These are, first of all, scientists of the Institute of State and Law of Ukraine named after V.M. Koretskyi, well-known scientists in the science of public law, professional judges, representatives of academic institutions of Ukraine and higher educational institutions of Ukraine. Words of thanks also went to the reviewers: Yu.G. Barabash, doctor of legal sciences, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine and Yu.V. Georgievsky, doctor of legal sciences.
Anatoliy Selivanov, who was invited to speak, noted that in the monograph, which has been prepared so far, scientists together with practitioners managed to find topics that allow every legal scholar to carry out an analysis of theory and practice. On the constitutional wave of "weight" concentrated most of the materials and, starting with the introduction, demonstrated the priorities and ways to improve the existing system of territorial courts. Scientists and practitioners expressed their own opinions not about concepts and terms that exist or arise in legal science and practice, but about their correct legal understanding.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Nataliya Onishchenko noted that the monographs proposed by Mr. Selivanov — are always interesting and cause a certain interest. The scientist noted that different scientists and different scientific schools held and hold quite different positions regarding the appointment of judicial law and quoted Anatoliy Selivanov, how exactly he sees the appointment of judicial law as a doctrine of judicial power in the public legal system of Ukraine.
