On June 5, 2024 in the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the international scientific and practical conference "Sports law of Ukraine: theoretical and practical problems of the formation of the industry" was held. dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Institute.

The organizers of the conference were the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. The conference was attended by scientists from the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky, representatives of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the Committee on of legal policy issues of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as scientists and heads of higher education institutions: Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ivan Franko Lviv National University, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National University of Economics.

The conference participants were greeted by the director of the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of legal sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Olexandr Skrypniuk. He emphasized that the legal regulation of social relations arising in the field of sports, the development of Paralympic sports under martial law, the issue of rehabilitation, pension provision, resolution of conflict situations in the sports industry, as well as improvement of national legislation in this field.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged opinions regarding the legal support for the functioning of sports in Ukraine and the formation of sports law as a complex field of law. Their opinions and suggestions were expressed by: Natalia Kovalenko, deputy executive director National Olympic Committee of Ukraine; Yuriy Kryzskyi, member of NOC, director of the "Sports Law" Coordination Center; Ivan Kylo, vice-rector for scientific work of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of legal sciences; Mykhailo Teplyuk, deputy head of the VRU Apparatus — head of the Main Legal Department, doctor of legal sciences; Olexii Yushchyk, chief researcher, head of the Center for Theoretical Problems of Lawmaking, doctor of legal sciences; Vitaly Kosovych, Head of the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law, Faculty of Law, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Doctor of Legal Sciences; Vira Ryndyuk, professor of the Department of Theoretical Jurisprudence of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National University of Economics, doctor of legal sciences; Olexii Yushchyk, doctoral student of the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, candidate of legal sciences.

Participants of the International Scientific and Practical Conference noted the fact of the establishment of the Interdepartmental Scientific and Practical Project "Sports" right". According to the results of the conference, Recommendations were approved, which emphasize the importance of the methodological aspect in the sectoral division of law and the formation of a complex field of sports law.
