TYMCHENKO Gennady Petrovych — Leading Researcher of the Department of Civil and Legal Sciences of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Senior Researcher.
In 1995—2000 he studied at the Prosecutor's Department (later the Institute for Training Personnel for Prosecutor's Offices) of the National Law Academy of Ukraine named after Ya. Mudryi. He received a diploma with honors in the specialty «law», qualification — lawyer. At the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine since 2003: since 2003 — senior researcher, since 2016 — leading researcher of the Department of Civil, Labor and Business Law.
In 2002, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic: «Methods and procedural forms of protecting civil rights». In 2012, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Law on the topic: «Principles of Civil and Administrative Justice in Ukraine: Problems of Theory and Practice». In 2013, he was awarded the academic title of Senior Research Fellow.
Directions of scientific activity — problems of civil procedural law. Recently, considerable attention has been paid to the analysis of the issues of legal regulation of civil procedural legal relations, principles of civil justice, civil procedural liability, etc.
Author of over 50 publications, including an individual monograph, a scientific publication: «Theoretical Problems and Practice of Implementing the Principles of Judicial Procedure in Ukraine», «Problems of Choosing the Appropriate Court in Ukraine», sections and chapters in collective monographs:«Ensuring the fulfillment of obligations in the civil law of Ukraine: problems of theory and practice: monograph» (2023); «Civil process: theory and practice. Prepared 2 Doctors of Law in the specialty of civil law and civil procedure; family law; private international law and 5 Candidates of Law in the specialty of civil law and civil procedure; family law; private international law and 1 Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 081 «Law», who work in leading educational institutions, scientific institutions, state authorities and enterprises. Member of specialized academic councils of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine. In 2019—2023 — member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the Supreme Court.
The scientist has been awarded high awards, including: the «Honorary Badge of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine», Diploma of Honor of the National School of Judges of Ukraine, and the Honorary Badge of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine.
