NIKITENKO Viktor Mykolayovych — Senior Researcher of the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor.
In 1985, he graduated from the Kiev Higher Military Engineering School of Communications named after M.I. Kalinin, majoring in «Automated Control Systems», qualification — military engineer of electronic equipment. In 2002, he graduated from the National Academy of Internal Affairs, majoring in «Law», qualification — lawyer. In 2017, he completed postgraduate studies at the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
He spent a significant part of his career in the Armed Forces and internal affairs bodies of Ukraine.
V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (from 2017 to the present). He went from a postgraduate student to a senior researcher in the Department of Criminal Law, Criminology and Judicial Problems (now the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology).
Combines scientific activities with teaching in the field of criminal and criminal procedural law.
From 2019 to the present — Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Support for Business Security of the State University of Trade and Economics.
In 2018, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic: «Criminal Liability for Falsification of Evidence».
Awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Support for Business Security (2022).
The main areas of scientific activity are the problems of combating criminal offenses against justice and in the field of official activities, ensuring a fair judicial decision, increasing the efficiency of criminal justice in Ukraine and the criminal process.
Author of over 60 scientific and educational and methodological works, as well as chapters in collective monographs and a manual. In particular: «Ensuring the issuance of a lawful procedural decision in the context of increasing the efficiency of criminal justice in Ukraine» in the collective monograph «Problems of increasing the efficiency of criminal justice in Ukraine» (2021); Criminal procedural law workshop (2021); Legal support of corporate security: educational and practical manual / O.A. Provides scientific supervision to postgraduate students.
