PAVKO Yana Anatoliivna — Senior Researcher, Department of International Law and Law of the European Union, Candidate of Laws, Associate Professor.

In 2014, she graduated with honors from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in International Law, and in 2018, she completed postgraduate studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Completed an international scientific and pedagogical internship at the Vasyl Goldish Western University (Arad (Romania), April 4–May 13, 2022); internship topic: “Modern trends and directions of training future international lawyers”.

She defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “International legal regulation of cooperation between states in the Arctic”.

After defending her PhD thesis, she worked as a research fellow at the Department of International Law and Comparative Law of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, and from 2021 to the present, she has been a senior research fellow at the same department (now the Department of International Law and Law of the European Union).

In 2021, she received the Award for Young Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine “Talent. Inspiration. Work”. In 2023, she was awarded the NAS of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists. In 2024, she received the Gratitude of the Kyiv Mayor. In 2025, she became the laureate of the Kyiv Mayor's Award for special achievements of youth in the development of the capital of Ukraine - the hero city of Kyiv.
