PAVKO Yana Anatoliivna — Senior Researcher at the Department of International Law and European Union Law, Candidate of Law.

In 2014, she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in «international law» (diploma with honors). In 2018, she completed postgraduate studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and successfully defended her PhD thesis on the topic: «International Legal Regulation of Cooperation between States in the Arctic».

After defending her PhD thesis, she worked as a research fellow at the Department of International Law and Comparative Law of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, and since 2021 she has been a senior research fellow at the same department (now the Department of International Law and Law of the European Union).

In 2021, she received the Distinction for Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine «Talent. Inspiration. Work». In 2023, she was awarded the Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for Young Scientists. In 2024, she received the Gratitude of the Mayor of Kyiv.

Science interests: current issues of international environmental and international maritime law.

He is the author of over 150 scientific papers.
