YAVIR Vira Anatoliivna — leading researcher of the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law, Doctor of Political Sciences.
Graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with a degree in political science (2004, diploma with honors) and postgraduate studies at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2008).
In 2008, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Political Sciences on the topic: «Socio-political dimension and legal mechanisms for combating xenophobia in Ukraine» (specialty 23.00.05 — ethnopolitical science and ethnopolitical science). In 2018, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Political Science on the topic: «Ethnopolitical Integration and Disintegration in the Modern World: Political and Legal Concept» (specialty 23.00.05 — ethnopolitical science and ethnopolitical science).
Main areas of scientific research — ethno-national policy of Ukraine and foreign countries, ethno-political conflicts, ethno-political security, separatism, integration and disintegration (in particular, European and Euro-Atlantic integration), reintegration, consolidation, xenophobia, interethnic relations, language policy.

Teaching the academic discipline «Ethnopolitical Science» (specialized course for bachelors in the field of training 6.030104 — political science) at the National University «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy» as an associate professor of the Department of Political Science.
She is a member of specialized academic councils for awarding the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences: 1) D 26.236.01 at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine; 2) D 26.181.01 at the I. F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethno-National Studies of the NAS of Ukraine.
