TURLOVA Yuliya Anatoliivna — leading researcher of the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, Doctor of Law, Senior Researcher, Senior Advisor to Justice, Honorary Employee of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine.
In 1998, she graduated from Simferopol State University named after M. V. Frunze with a degree in «Jurisprudence». In 2011, she completed postgraduate studies at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine. In 2018, she completed doctoral studies at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine.
1997—1999 — worked in the Arbitration Court of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. 1999—2014 — worked in prosecutorial bodies in prosecutorial positions (over 12 years — in the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, where she held a managerial position for 7 years). 2014—2020 — worked at the National Academy of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. Since 2020 — works at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine.
In 2011, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law in the specialty 12.00.08 — criminal law and criminology; criminal enforcement law, on the topic: «Criminological characteristics of poaching in Ukraine and combating these crimes».
In 2018, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Law in the specialty 12.00.08 — criminal law and criminology; criminal enforcement law, on the topic: « Combating Environmental Crime in Ukraine: Criminological and Criminal Law Principles». Awarded the academic title of Senior Researcher in the specialty 081 Law (2023).
Main areas of scientific activity — prevention and counteraction to environmental crime, criminological analysis, prosecutorial activities.
He is the author of over 100 scientific and educational works, including individual monographs: «Criminological Characteristics of Poaching in Ukraine and Counteraction to These Crimes» (2012); «Criminal Legal Impact on Environmental Crime» (2017) and «Environmental Crime in Ukraine: Criminal Legal and Criminological Principles of Counteraction» (2018); co-author of scientific, practical and educational manuals: « Organization of the Prosecutor's Activities in Emergency Situations» (2016), «Representation of the State's Legitimate Interests by the Prosecutor in Court» (2016), «Powers of Prosecutors When Filing Claims and Applications with the Court» (2017), «Amendments to Economic Procedural Legislation. Litigation» (2019), «Collection of tasks for practical classes with candidates for the position of prosecutor in the academic discipline «Criminal legal qualification» (2019); co-author of the textbook «Criminology» (2020), Great Ukrainian Criminological Encyclopedia (2021), monograph «Problems of increasing the efficiency of criminal justice in Ukraine» (2021), etc.
Member of one-time specialized academic councils of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine;
Scientific secretary of the specialized academic council for awarding the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine D 26.236.02 (profile of the council: 12.00.03 «Civil law and civil procedure; family law; private international law», 12.00.08 «Criminal law and criminology; criminal enforcement law»).
