Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine!

Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine!

Dear friends, colleagues, scientists!

Today is Constitution Day of Ukraine — one of the most significant holidays of our country.

The first attempts to lay the foundations of Ukrainian constitutionalism were made back in 1710. It was the Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk — an outstanding historical monument of Ukrainian thought, one of the first constitutions in the world, which is still highly appreciated by experts.

The current Constitution will go down in the constitutional history of Ukraine as the Fundamental Law, which operated in wartime and which became the legal basis not only for martial law, but also for ensuring constitutional law and order, protecting European values, the independent, sovereign future of the Ukrainian state, and a pillar of establishing the invincibility of the Ukrainian people and a guide in building a new, strong and democratic Ukraine.

Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine!

 Sincerely

Olexander Skrypnyuk, Director of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine
