On April 28, 2026, a meeting of the Academic Council of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine was held, which was opened by the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Law of Ukraine, Vice-President of the National Academy of Law of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Oleksandr Skrypnyuk.

Opening the meeting, Olexandr Skrypnyuk presented a Certificate of Honor from the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to Olexy Kresin, a leading researcher of the Department of International Law and European Union Law, Doctor of Law, Professor, and a Certificate of Gratitude from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to Zoya Zagyna-Zabolotenko, Head of the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, Doctor of Law, Professor.

A minute of silence was also held to honor the memory of Konstantyn Savchuk, a well-known Ukrainian jurist and international lawyer, who would have turned 50 on April 26. Konstantyn Savchuk after completing his postgraduate studies at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law, linked his scientific activities with the Institute and worked until his last days in the Department of International Law and Comparative Law (now the Department of International Law and Law of the European Union).

Oleksandr Skrypnyuk informed the members of the Academic Council about the implementation of the Project of the Target Program of Scientific Research of the NAS of Ukraine “Lawmaking in Ukraine: Doctrinal Principles, Legal Regulation and Implementation Practice” in 2026.

The main part of the Academic Council meeting was devoted to the discussion of proposals for the Project of the new version of the Statute of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine. The discussion was attended by Oleksandr Skrypnyuk, Doctor of Law, Professor; Anzhelika Krusyan, Doctor of Law, Professor; Anatoly Babaskin, Doctor of Law, Professor; Oleksandr Batanov, Doctor of Law, Professor; Nataliya Parkhomenko, Doctor of Law, Professor.

The attendees heard information from Oleg Martselyuk, Doctor of Law, Professor, about the creation of the Center for the "Legal Clinic" of the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine.

The members of the Academic Council recommended the manuscripts for publication of the collective monograph "Current Problems of Legal Regulation of Private Relations: Theory and Practice" edited by A.Yu. Babaskin, Y.L. Boshytsky. The following scientific notes were also recommended for publication: "Effectiveness of the Interrelationship of the Constitutional Legislation of Ukraine with International Standards and EU Standards in the Sphere of Human Rights Protection under Martial Law" / col. author; edited by Doctor of Law, Professor O.V. Skrypnyuk, Doctor of Law, Professor A.R. Krusyan; «Protection of Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms in Martial Law: Ways to Improve Sectoral Legislation of Ukraine» / co-author; edited by Doctor of Law, Professor Zoya Zagyna-Zabolotenko; «Transformation of the State Function in Protecting Human Rights in Martial Law in Ukraine: Scientific Note» / co-author; edited by O. V. Kukuruz.

The Academic Council adopted a number of decisions concerning the educational process of postgraduate students.
