On the 77th anniversary of the founding of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine
Dear scientists, colleagues, friends!
I sincerely congratulate the staff of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine on the 77th anniversary of the founding of our Institute. The V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine has a rich history. Starting its activities in the distant 1949, when the Sector of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR was created, and since 1969 - the Institute of State and Law, it has always been and remains at the forefront of Ukrainian legal science.
Over the years of its activity, thanks to its coordinated and fruitful work, the staff of the Institute has achieved significant success in the study of current problems of statehood and lawmaking and has become one of the leading legal scientific institutions in Ukraine. The Institute has gone through a glorious path of creation and titanic work of scientists, whose names are inscribed in golden letters in the history of Ukrainian legal scientific thought: V.M. Koretsky, B. M. Babiya, Yu. S. Shemshuchenko, V. B. Averyanov, V. F. Pogorilka, M. I. Kozyubry, etc.
The Institute has made a significant contribution to the development of domestic legal science and the development of Ukraine as a legal state. Among the most significant achievements are the publication of the Great Ukrainian Legal Encyclopedia (in 20 volumes), the ten-volume Anthology of Ukrainian Legal Thought, and many others. The participation of the Institute's specialists in the development of drafts of the Constitution of Ukraine, regulatory legal acts in the fields of criminal, civil, administrative, tax, agrarian and other areas of public and private law, as well as in the preparation of concepts for legal reforms, deserves special respect. It is noteworthy that the Institute systematically prepares scientific notes and recommendations. Scientific achievements are implemented not only in the practice of state and law-making, but also applied in the educational process.
And today, when the war continues, the Institute solves new tasks, including the issues of legal support for national security, protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
Dear scientists, colleagues, friends, I express my gratitude to each scientist, each employee for their contribution to the development of legal science. I wish you peaceful skies, new achievements, and fruitful work for the benefit of Ukraine!
Sincerely,Oleksandr Skrypnyuk,
Director of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, Vice-President of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the NARL of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine
