On the Day of Unity of Ukraine, the Fastiv Forum of Unity and Security Solutions was held in Fastiv

On the Day of Unity of Ukraine, the Fastiv Forum of Unity and Security Solutions was held in Fastiv.

The Forum included five panel discussions with the participation of people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, state authorities, local governments, the scientific community, public organizations, international partners, and experts in the fields of security, culture, and recovery.

The Institute's scientists also participated in the Forum: Oleksandr Skrypnyuk, Director of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, Vice-President of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine; Nataliya Onishchenko, Deputy Director of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine; Oleg Martselyak, leading researcher at the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law of the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine and other researchers.

Addressing the forum participants with a welcoming speech, Olexandr Skrypnyuk outlined the historical lessons of Ukrainian statehood. The act of union, concord, and unity that took place over 100 years ago is of great importance for the nation and the state. Historical experience has proven that our strength lies in unity.

«When we are united,– emphasized Oleksandr Skrypnyuk, — we are able to overcome all the trials, hardships that arise on our path to statehood, even harsh aggression».

Also, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Olexandr Skrypnyuk took part in the work of the 3rd panel "Democracy in Wartime: Challenges and Achievements" and the 4th panel "Formation of Ukraine's State Policy Regarding the Peoples Colonized by the Russian Federation".

The role of legal science in creating a legal basis for ensuring victory over the enemy and the peaceful post-war revival of Ukraine was emphasized.

Significant attention was paid to the problems of democracy, ensuring human rights and freedoms in wartime, as well as the formation of Ukraine's state policy on supporting the colonized peoples of modern Russia.

The result of these discussions was the signing of the Declaration of Unity - a joint position of the forum participants, representatives of government bodies and diplomatic missions on the need to consolidate efforts to rebuild the Fastiv railway station with the creation of the socio-cultural complex "Platform of Unity".
