About the Department of Theory of State and Law.

The Department of Theory of State and Law of the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine is one of the leading scientific units in Ukraine, carrying out important theoretical and applied research in the field of law and state formation.

The focus of the department's scientific directions is always on topical issues of legal and state development related to legal awareness, legal culture, legal education, regulation of legislation, problems of legality, law and order, legal progress in the context of civil society requests, legal analytics, legal forecasting, sources of law, legal monitoring, gender equality issues, etc. The department traditionally provides scientific support for issues related to the development of legislation in the context of European integration.

The department's staff is actively involved in the training of scientific personnel through postgraduate and doctoral studies.

Working on the implementation of scientific developments into legal practice, the Department of Theory launched a startup in 2010 related to holding annual international scientific and practical conferences to consider problematic issues of law and state formation. During this period, 13 conferences were held, based on the results of which, annually, the department publishes the scientific and practical legal journal "Almanac of Law", which has already gained recognition among representatives of legal science and practice. "Almanac of Law" is a professional publication and is included in the International Scientometric Database Index Copernicus International (Poland).
