Another meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky

On January 30, 2025, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky was held under the chairmanship of the Director of the Institute Oleksandr Skrypnyuk.

At the beginning of the meeting, Olexandr Skrypniuk read a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the anniversary of Natalia Isaeva, senior researcher of the Department of Public Administration and Administrative Law, candidate of legal sciences, associate professor. He also presented new editions of the Institute, in particular "Rule of Law"; and "Land and territory as legal and geopolitical concepts: historical and legal reality and modernity".

The item on the agenda was the approval of the Work Plan of the Academic Council of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the 1st half of 2025; on the approval of the indicative program of the Institute's publishing activities for 2025; on the approval of the plan for the training of scientific personnel of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for 2025. Anzhelika Krusyan, scientific secretary of the Institute, doctor of legal sciences, professor, delivered a report.

The composition of the one-time specialized academic councils and the Regulations on the remuneration of members of the one-time specialized academic councils were discussed and approved, as well as amendments were made to the Regulations on the department for the organization of training and certification of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of the Institute.

The report of the head of the scientific library of the Institute Natalia Ovchinnikova on the work of the library in 2024 was heard and discussed, and the Plan of work of the library in 2025 was approved.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of Yevintov Volodymyr Isakovich — Ukrainian jurist, doctor of legal sciences, specialist in international law, the scientific report of Natalia Kaminska, doctor of legal sciences, professor was heard. Volodymyr Isakovich worked for a long time at the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: junior researcher, senior researcher and leading researcher of the department of international law and comparative jurisprudence. As a worthy student of Academician Koretsky V.M. he developed the ideas of his teacher, left a memory of himself as a professional, a patriot, a caring and bright person. In 1979, he defended his candidate's thesis on multilingual treaties in international law, in 1993 he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic "International community and legal order (theoretical and legal analysis)". The author of numerous scientific works devoted to human rights, the sovereignty of states, the application of the norms of international law in the domestic law of states, Ukraine's entry into the human rights protection system of the Council of Europe, decision of the European Court of Human Rights, etc. In 1992 (together with Prof. Denisov V.N.) the award was given to M.P. Vasylenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the series of works "International law and world order: the search for models of legal development", which included his works devoted to the international community and the legal order.

The name of Yevintov Volodymyr Isakovich is written in golden letters in the history of Ukrainian jurisprudence.
