On September 10, 2024, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky.

At the beginning of the meeting, a Memorandum on partnership and cooperation was signed between the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National University of Defense of Ukraine. The memorandum was signed by the director of the State and Law Institute named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Olexandr Skrypniuk and Head of the National Defense University of Ukraine, Colonel General Mykhailo Koval.

It was discussed and approved the opening of the research topic "New priorities for the development of agrarian, land, environmental and space law of Ukraine in the conditions of armed aggression, post-war reconstruction and European integration", which will be carried out by the Department of Agrarian, Land, Environmental and Space Law of the State Institute and rights named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

In addition, the item on the agenda was the approval of the report on participation in the work of the 35th International Geographical Congress on August 24-29, 2024 in Dublin (Ireland). The report was made by the acting head of the department of problems of agrarian, land, environmental and space law of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, current President of the Ukrainian Geographical Society V’ Yacheslav Oleshchenko. In particular, it was emphasized the special role of geography and rights in achieving global goals, implementing the principles of sustainable development, the inadmissibility of showing state borders and territories of both Ukraine and other states on maps and in other publications, contrary to the requirements of international law, concluded international treaties , objective circumstances.

Volodymyr Nagrebelny, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, deputy director for scientific work of the Institute took part in the discussion of the Report; Natalia Parkhomenko, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of legal sciences, head of the Department of Theory of State and Law; Ihor Usenko, candidate of legal sciences, professor, head of the department of historical and legal research.

With information about the foreign scientific internship at the Scientific Center of the University of La Rochelle (France) on legal issues of assessing the impact of space activities on the marine environment from September 16 to December 15, 2024, of the researcher of the Department of Agrarian, Land, Environmental and Space Law A.M. Gurova. the scientific secretary of the Institute, doctor of legal sciences, professor Angelika Krusyan spoke.

The members of the Academic Council listened to the report on scientific research activities during the period of stay in the Institute's doctoral program, candidate of legal sciences, associate professor V. N. Kubalskyi. The Director of the Institute, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Olexandr SkrypniuPh.

Scientific secretary of the Institute, doctor of legal sciences Anzhelika Krusyan announced letters of thanks to the employees of the V.M. Institute of State and Law. Koretsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine from the Training Center of Prosecutors of Ukraine and from the Odesa City Council.
