Approval of the Report on the scientific and organizational activities of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for 2024

Koretsky The item on the agenda was the approval of the Report on the scientific and organizational activities of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for 2024.
Opened the session Natalia Onishchenko, deputy director for scientific work of the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of legal sciences, who noted that the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretskyi National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is a leading research institution of the legal profile in Ukraine, which carries out activity in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, The Law of Ukraine "On scientific and scientific and technical activities", other acts of Ukrainian legislation, the Statute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Basic principles of organization and activity of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and its Statute, as well as the Strategy of the Institute's activities for the coming decade approved by the Institute's Academic Council.
With a report on the main provisions of the Report (which will be posted on the website of the Institute) Anjelika Krusyan, academic secretary of the Institute, doctor of legal sciences, spoke professor. In particular, the main achievements and achievements of the Institute in 2024 were summed up, the successes and achievements reflected in numerous scientific publications were emphasized, monographic and scientific expert works, as well as tested at many scientific conferences, round tables, polylogues, other scientific forums and implementation in practice. Anzhelika Krusyan noted that in the conditions of the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation against sovereign Ukraine, research into the current problems of the current state of war in Ukraine continued, including issues of legal protection of state sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security of Ukraine, the development of a constitutional and legal mechanism for the protection of human rights under martial law, the interpretation and provision of legal assessments of criminal actions of the Russian Federation in an international and comparative context, etc.
The discussion of the Report was attended by Volodymyr Nagrebelny, deputy director for scientific work of the Institute, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, candidate of legal sciences; Natalia Parkhomenko, head of the Institute's Theory of State and law Department, doctor of legal sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Iryna Kresina, leading researcher of the Institute, doctor of political sciences, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Pavlo Kulinych, head of the Institute's Department of Agrarian, Land, Environmental and Space Law, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Law, Professor.
As the speakers noted, despite the circumstances of wartime (forced temporary relocation of employees, periodic lack of Internet and means of scientific communication, power outages, limited access to archival and library funds, a significant reduction in funding for scientific research), the Institute managed to maintain its own scientific activity and scientific capacity.
The scientific board unanimously approved the Report on the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the Institute in 2024.
In addition, at the meeting, the main areas of further improvement of the Institute's activities in 2025 and important aspects of increasing the efficiency of its work, optimization of scientific and organizational processes were determined, the importance of the development of international partnership, expansion of the scientific research base was emphasized and further implementation of innovative technologies in the processes of scientific research.
In the conclusion of the meeting of the Academic Council, it was stated that last year was an important stage in the development of the Institute, but the Institute faces new tasks, primarily due to the war, which certainly affected Ukrainian science and put on the agenda issues related to’ with martial law and problems of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
