On December 26, 2024, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Aleksandr Skrypniuk informed about the main scientific events that took place recently at the Institute, in particular about the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Restriction of Human Rights in the Conditions of Extraordinary Regimes: Challenges and Solutions", which was organized by the Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Faculty of Law of Uzhhorod National University.

With the question "About the state certification of the Institute and the certification of the Institute's scientific workers in 2025" the director of the Institute, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Olexandr Skrypnyuk spoke. Information on awarding the academic title of senior researcher to Natalia Batanova, senior researcher of the Department of Interdisciplinary and Comparative Legal Studies, candidate of legal sciences and Serhiy Sunegin, senior researcher of the Department of Theory of the State and Law, candidate of legal sciences was voiced by Angelika Krusyan, scientific secretary of the Institute, doctor of legal sciences, professor.

The research topics "Environmental and legal problems in armed conflict zones" were discussed and accepted as completed. and "Optimization of law-making activity: theoretical and applied principles".

The item on the agenda was the approval of the report on the internship abroad of the doctor of legal sciences, professor Aleksii Kresin; doctor of legal sciences, professor Yana Simutina and candidate of legal sciences Anna Gurova.

The manuscript of the collective monograph "Optimization of law-making activity: theoretical and applied principles", the manuscript of the monograph A. Ternavska was also recommended for publication. "Criminal and legal counteraction to crime in the field of radio-ecological safety", scientific publication " Actual issues of the history of the state and law and the challenges of modernity: a collection of materials of the 16th All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference.

Aleksandr Skrypnyuk, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, director of the Institute, took part in the discussion; Natalia Onishchenko, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, deputy director of the Institute; Natalia Parkhomenko, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of jurisprudence, head of the Department of Theory of State and Law; Ihor Usenko, candidate of legal sciences, professor, head of the Department of Historical and Legal Studies; Angelika Krusyan, scientific secretary of the Institute, doctor of legal sciences, professor.

Members of the Academic Council approved the topics of dissertation research and the composition of one-time specialized academic councils for the defense of a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
