KRUSYAN Angelika Romanivna — scientific secretary of the Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of legal sciences, professor, honored lawyer of Ukraine, Acting Head of the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law.

In 1991, she graduated from Odesa State University named after I.I. Mechnikova with honors (specialty — jurisprudence, qualification — lawyer). In 1999, she defended her thesis for obtaining the scientific degree candidate of legal sciences on the topic:  «The interaction of local executive authorities and local self-government bodies in Ukraine» with a specialty in constitutional law. In 2010, she defended her dissertation for obtaining a scientific degree Doctor of Legal Sciences on the topic: «Modern Ukrainian constitutionalism: theory and practice» with a specialty 12.00.02 — constitutional law; municipal law.

The academic title of professor of the Department of Constitutional Law was awarded in 2012.

Directions of scientific activity: constitutional law, municipal law, modern Ukrainian constitutionalism, public power and management.

He is the author of more than 200 scientific, educational and methodological works, including: two individual monographs: «Interaction of local executive bodies and local self-government bodies in Ukraine» (2001); «Modern Ukrainian constitutionalism» (2010); and the co-authored monograph «Modern constitutionalism in Ukraine. Introduction to Ukrainian constitutional law» (2006), as well as chapters in collective monographs:

• «Problems of the theory of constitutional law of Ukraine» (2013);
• «Constitutional process in Ukraine and the world experience of constitutionalism» (2014);
• «General theoretical and constitutional and legal aspects of the development of civil society in Ukraine» (2017);
• «Civil society in Ukraine: current state, challenges, modernization strategy» (2018);
• «Modern Unitarianism: Doctrine and Practice» (2021);
• «Legal science of Ukraine: current state, challenges and development prospects» (2021);
• «Constitutional and legal problems of local self-government and decentralization of public power in Ukraine» (2021) and others.

Member of the editorial board of the scientific periodical «Ukrainian journal of constitutional law». Deputy editor-in-chief of the specialized scientific journal «Legal Bulletin».

In 2007, she was awarded the «Outstanding Education of Ukraine» sign. In 2012, she was awarded the Certificate of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine «For Services to the Ukrainian People». In 2017, the honorary title «Scientist of the Year» was awarded. In 2017, she was awarded the Citation of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. By the decree of the President of Ukraine dated January 22, 2019, she was awarded the honorary title of «Honored Lawyer of Ukraine». Member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (since 2019).
