Public lecture "Grant activity as a tool for strengthening science and the public sector"
On May 25, 2026, a public lecture on the topic: «Grant activity as a tool for strengthening science and the public sector» was held at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the NAS of Ukraine.
The event was organized by the Sector for Legal Problems of Political Institutions and Processes of the Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law.
Meeting moderator — Oksana Kukuruz, Doctor of Political Sciences, Head of the Sector for Legal Problems of Political Institutions and Processes. Invited speaker — Ulyana Movchan, PhD in Political Science, founder of Connection Agency.
Relying on her own many years of experience, the lecturer conducted a 2-hour intensive, analyzing in detail the features of the grant process.
During the meeting, the audience learned about:
– the essence and classification of grants — various forms of support were considered: institutional, project, infrastructure grants and individual mobility programs;
– sources of finding grants — ways of monitoring current competitions and criteria for entities that can apply for funding (in particular, higher education institutions, scientific institutions and public organizations) were outlined;
– structure of a successful application — the features of the conceptual, financial and organizational parts of the application and the development of effective partnerships are explained;
– work on errors — the most common difficulties when filling out application forms are identified and examples of best practices are given.
The event was held in a mixed (offline and online) format. For those who were interested in the topic, but were unable to join the event, the video recording of the lecture will be posted on the Institute's YouTube channel.
